Each house will have 5 teams, each team consisting of 2 students. There are 5 first rounds and a final round. One team from each house will compete in each of the first rounds. At the request of our Headmaster Mr Arnison, there will also be a team of teachers competiting in each of the first rounds. The winning team from each round will compete again in the final.

In each round, there are 7 categories of questions, ranging from science and sport to law and technology. Each team will have a turn to select a category of question. However, there is a “bug” behind one of these categories, and the team which selected the “bug” will not be eligible for the “choosing advantage” and must select another category. The question will be displayed on a colour projection screen and the teams are to then use the Internet to find the answer.
When a team finds the answer, the team must type in their answer in the 'SIG Communicator', which will immediately send the answer to a judge through the Internet. A judge will check if the answer is correct. Each question is given a maximum of 3 minutes to complete.
Any team that finds the correct answer within three minutes will receive one point, but if the team was first to find the answer, the team will receive two points. If the team was first to find the answer, and picked the question, the team will get a total of three points for that question. This is why the team who chose the question is said to have the "choosing advantage."
After all questions are completed, the team with the highest score will advance to the finals.
