LUNCHTIME ROMANCE

Red smiling faces.

Notes squiggled fast,

shoved in a locker on the way past.

Secret meetings,

Quiet conversations,

friends who make their own observations.

Out to the movies,

On a week night,

do you think they'll kiss? I think they might.

At lunchtime,

Sitting together,

I wonder if that'll last forever.
